This place was okay, but not really what we were looking for. As others have stated the tent sites are VERY small and ours was on a slope. The lake is more of a pond and the area is not as visually pleasing as we expected. You need both a CA fishing license and a base license to fish and it is catch and release only. The bathrooms were fine. They were old, but fairly clean and the one shower was always open for use despite the campground being busy. Overall we can't complain too much because the price is right, but we were hoping for a bit more. It was still fun just to be out of the city hanging with family and friends. Just know that if you are looking for more of a secluded outdoor experience this place is not for you. We don't want complete isolation, but not being so close to the neighboring tent that you can hear them snoring and whispering would be nice.
