Grounds were very clean and well lit, and amenities were in great condition. Camp host was helpful and very professional. Please note the camp host can only accept cash, so either arrive while the office staff are present or pay by credit card over the phone. As noted by others, there are no fire rings or picnic tables at the sites, but there are a number of picnic tables for on a grassy area near the middle of the park. The showers and laundry are clean well maintained. This park is very quite. There are no playgrounds or other "recreation" areas for kids in the park but there are a number of recreation areas on post and in the area. The electrical/water/cable hook ups are near the front of each site, so one may have pull forward more than normal or use extensions to reach the hooks ups. Absolutely a park we'd come back too when traveling or exploring eastern North Carolina.
