Great RV Park, one of the best we have stayed in for military parks. Directions were great and hospitality was fantastic. Nice level sites with plenty of room. We stayed in a 40 ft class A motorhome.

i don't usually do these kind of reviews, but this is something important you all need to be aware of. we made reservations for the 3rd of june going and the 8th of june coming back. i was half way there on my motorcycle when we were hammered by rain and hail, anyone who rides can understand how dangerous that can be. i had to turn back and return to colorado but i stopped and called the family camp to tell them we were prevented from coming by hail. i got an answering machine so i left a message, this was a bit before 10AM. whe i returned home i again called and talked to debbie who advised me that the air force didn't care how bad the weather was, if i didn't show up i had to surrender 20 dollars of the fee. i tried to make her understand that it was not my fault but the weather. no good, she quoted the rules as written in her website. so ! they have another website besides this one, too bad cause this one is way above hers in quality. it made no difference that my info came from this website, apparently ignorance of their rules was no excuse, and the fact that she chose not to warn me about this policy also made no difference. so just bear this in mind when you decide to stay there larry, you should post this policy so no one else gets blindsided. in my opinion the military screwed up when they allowed civilians to run things. we certainly won't be back.

Large level sites with easy access to the utility connections. Wide sites. We didn't use the bath house but they were very clean. We did use the laundry and there are plenty of machines and the room was clean. We stayed in a 40 foot motorhome with a Jeep in tow. We were told we could wash vehicles if we wanted. I only washed the Jeep off since rain was forecast the next day and I didn't see any sense in washing the motorhome. Access to the base and Famcamp was easy through the South Gate. We will stay there again on our return to the area.

Thank you for updating the directions to the Famcamp. Please UPDATE the cost for full hook-ups, they are $22. now, overflow is still $15. The showers, bathroom and laundry is very clean, better than most famcamps. Debbie in the office was very helpful and got us into FHU after 1 night dry camping.

We have been here since November 2018 and have found this site recently. I called and asked the fam camp why are we paying 20.00 a day instead of 500.00 a month. Was told they only charge by the day. So you guys might want to change the pricing on here. (Editors note: Will do! - Thanks!)

We have been to Hill’s FamCamp several times and have always enjoyed our stay and this time was no exception. After an easy check in through the south gate (the SP guard asked us to turn off our dash cam) and getting registered in at the office, we got parked in space #33 with no problems. We had called several days ago to shorten our stay by one day. Debbie told us that if she rented the site for that day she would refund all our deposit for that day minus $10. When checking in the manager he actually refunded $15 keeping only a $5 processing fee. One thing we noticed that we didn’t experience the last few times here was the weak Verizon cell service. Sometimes we got two bars of 4g, sometime 1 bar and then sometimes we couldn’t connect at all. Our MiFi device dropped the signal several times during the busy times of the day. There is no WiFi except in or near the office. If you want to go out for something to eat in the area we highly recommend Goodwood Barbecue up in Riverdale. Best b-b-q we have had this side of Texas.

We needed an overnight spot in the Salt Lake area and the reviews suggested Hill would be a good one. They were right. What a nice Famcamp. They were very accommodating. The host that checked us in was so nice and helpful. They gave us our site number when we made the reservation and told us to just go to the site and hook up then check in. We had a pull through site. Some of them had shade, but all were long enough for both out 35’ motorhome and outer toad. There was a lot of lateral space between sites as well. The campground and facility were very clean and maintained. The fame amp is not large, so be sure and call and reserve a site, it seems pretty popular and ended up as almost full the night we were there. The only WiFi is in the office right now, but they are working on it. Bathrooms were clean and well kept, but a little dated. The gym is across the street if you are so inclined. The directions are great. Will stay here again.

I arrived a little late. But, the host still came by and gave me the information for the laundry and showers. Hook up was easy on a very level pad. Just stayed one night. But, I will return next time I am near Hill AFB.

Deb is wonderful as a camphost the rest of them leave a lot to be desired..... Steve doesn't have a clue as to which end is up.... Debs husband is seriously lacking in any ability to help at all. They need to stop with the hopscotch and and leave people who are already in place and reshuffle the ones coming in. There's lots to do in and around famcamp....kids have a great park, splash pad and play ground.

Arrived via the Roy gate early afternoon. We made reservations well in advance. Check-in was quick and informative. Utilized their USPS mail delivery service at the Base Post Office building, it worked well you can drop off prepaid UPS and Fedex parcels there as well. Nice Exchange and Commissary, car wash, bowling alley, all within easy walking distance of the FamCamp. Excellent Art & Crafts Shop across the street. Very much enjoyed our stay and visit to the Salt Lake City area.

A very busy park! We stayed for 5 days. All utilities worked well and satellite reception was good. The camp hosts were very pleasant. We had a pull through spot that faced the track. It was kinda fun to watch the young GI's get their daily PT, bless their hearts!

We did not plan to stay at the base as we were going north. Maintenance issues required we seek RV repair (Tips is very good only about 1.5 miles away). Anyhow we stayed 7 days moved a couple of times but thats what the M in mobil/motor home stands for right? The camp hosts were very nice and considerate and worked to keep everything right. Bad part was that the WIFI system only works IN the rec room. Base itself is confusing in that nothing (streets, some buildings) are identified so its a game of hunt and seek until you become familiarized. Small BX/PX and commissary. Camp is set close to South gate and makes for easy entry exit to local area.

Super hosts in Larry and Debbie! Nice, clean park with nice laundry, nice bathrooms except the showers need a private dressing area, convenient to base amenities...superior fitness center across the road, splash park for kids, clean grassy dog park, level parking sites although a little hard to understand where to park...rigs need to park close to utility side. We were unable to hook up sewer dt the rig behind us being dead center. It would also be nice if they had a separate tent area. Kids set their tent up next to us on the gravel! Ouch! It would be nice if they updated the WiFi access. Convenient to Salt Lake and the city. Fun watching the F-? Flying overhead...super loud but we are proud of them so what the heck?

Convenient location near Ogden UT. We only needed one night on two passes through the area and this did the trick, just one thing to consider: I made reservations for both stays and was given my site numbers ahead on the same call. I was told to go ahead and pull into those sites when I arrive. On both occasions, the site assignments had changed. Just be sure to call on your way in to make sure you don’t set up in someone else’s spot.

Arrived a day early, park was full, they let us stay near the office and was able to run our generator. I must say this park has had a ton of upgrades from when i visited 6 years ago. Sites are great but they use every bit of space by allowing tent campers right behind your rv. I just wish all the famcamps would get with the times and put wifi throughout the parks. All in all, great stay, would come back again! Great value!

This is a very nice Fam Camp and well maintained. Easy access from the South Gate. The laundry and bathrooms are spotless.$1 a load for washer or dryer.Very friendly host and office workers. Only reason I didn't give it 5* across the board is because of no internet except near the office. We have now traveled 46 states and stayed in Fam Camps whenever possible. Most all Navy Fam Camps have internet access. Feeling in 2018 WiFi should be available almost everywhere, including AFBs Fam Camps.

Second time staying here. Office staff are nice and hosts spend a lot of time keeping the place clean. The sound of freedom is alive and well at Hill, especially during the week. Closed windows don't make a difference. Seems like a lot of AT/FP money has been spent at Hill, particularly at the gates; multiple speed bumps/tables at each gate, plus the other barriers make any gate other than the Roy gate (exit 338) a slow go in an RV. If you enter via the Hill Road gate (closest to the FamCamp), be aware the Defenders could put the steel barriers a bit tight. Same with exiting the gate, too. Not all dog owners are considerate and pick up after their pets, despite bags and scoopers being available at the fenced dog run. Kind of surprised wifi still isn't available throughout the park. Plenty of other bases (AF and other services) have it, so it can be done. Park's interior roads are pretty easy to navigate. Would stay here again if in the SLC area. Not many other options for RV parks, especially at the price.

We have stayed there 4 times now. It's frequently on our route from A to B and just convenient. The base is great and easy to get on and off (well - you have to get the gate guards to move the anti-tank barriers so you can get off the base with a large rig- but they are nice and do it pretty quickly. It's the folks that pile up behind you who get grumpy) First - a site with full hook-ups is $20/night. Can't beat that at all. Nice paved walking/running trails that run right by the Fam Camp and that's wonderful. 15 minutes to Costco and In-N-Out Burger. What more could you want? Goat Heads galore. Your dogs, shoes and carpet will be full of them. It appears that they are beginning to think about getting them under control. Twice now, someone else has been in our reserved site. They reluctantly and slowly moved to their appropriate site, but this appears to be a clerical problem. The office staff is nice and the camp host are very nice, but the office staff is frequently not around to fix the problems - such as someone being in your site. The paved pull through sites are a little close together, but not a big deal. We usually only stay a night or maybe 2. The camp is slowly but surely being kept up, put back in order, updated - hard to say. It really is fine. There's a new manager and I think he is trying to get things squared away. The laundry is clean and spacious. Internet only in the office area. (But really, we should not expect to be provided internet). We will continue to use this Fam Camp and are very glad it's available.

First visit to the campground and overall experience was excellent. The only reason for an overall 4 star review was the proximity of the campground to a major road with lots of traffic noise well into the evening. We had a late arrival (after dark). Our campsite was blocked off by road cones to prevent someone from taking our reserved site. The camp hose greeted us within 10 minutes of arrival to make sure we were the one's who had reserved the site. He also offered to stay in his four wheeler with his lights on to aid in us hooking up, but we respectfully declined as we had plenty of trailer lights for hookup. The campground has undergone recent renovations and is in really nice shape. There are both back-in and pull through sites. All sites are paved and level and appear to have plenty of room for both trailer and pull vehicle. Some sites have shade, others do not. There are grassy areas between sections of campsites, along with a nice fenced dog run area. I was not able to get a WIFI signal at my campsite, but did not try it at the campground office area. Additionally, I did not try any of the other amenities such as the bathrooms or laundry, but there were several people using these amenities throughout the day. Overall, this is a great campsite to use as a base to explore the Salt Lake City/Wasatch Front area.
