We stayed here for several months to winter over before heading on to Arizona. The daily price really can't be beat and while they don't offer a weekly rate, you really can't find to many RV parks that the daily rate is $25 for a pull through with full hook ups. Very nice campground; easy access to NW Adventures to check in, outstanding office staff and easy access to our RV site. We always have enjoyed camping here! Daily rate is now $45 for the RV sites, and they have added new campground equipment for the kids. 1/2 rate rental for the boats/canoes/paddleboards Monday-Thursday. Restroom/showers very clean. Campground staff always friendly and helpful. It is nice the base has changed the policy for visitors. Now, military members can have guests as long as anyone 18 or over has valid ID (drivers license/ID card). We had our grandkids visit many times on this trip which was great! We stayed here on our trip back to Yuma for some warmer weather. Great location and close to all the sights along Beach Blvd; many great restaurants to visit. This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Pelican Roost, and this time in January. Crazy cold weather for our week stay but still the views are always nice. Nice spacing between sites, office staff very friendly and accommodating. Nice RV Park overall and right off Perdido Bay which makes for good sunsets every night. While the park is off base and the public is allowed to visit, we had no issues of theft or people partying crazy. We stayed here one night in the new section. Some pull through, most spots are back in. Easy access from the freeway. We didn't go to the older RV site or to Lake Walker and didn't use bathroom or laundry facilities. The sites were spacious in the new area and mostly level concrete pads and good hookups. Our first RV experience here at Ft Sam Houston. Outstanding staff, easy access to the base via the Winan Gate and large pull throughs for our 37' RV and Jeep toad. We try to stay here at least once a year while heading south for the winter. Good deal on a level, concrete full hook up pull thru for $26 a night! They have removed the USPS mailboxes that were in front of the office/laundry building. UPS and FedEx both do make deliveries here so there shouldn't be an issue with getting your mail or other packages. Office staff told me they will be adding 26 more sites to the "original"...

Wonderful place to spend some time at the beach. Full hook-ups are $76 a night, W/E $71. Very quiet campground that offers many types of camping (RV/Tent/dry camping) and the cost is probably the best on the west coast, including the RV park located on North Ft Lewis. While we had great weather while staying this week, be aware that the RV sites are situated under beautiful trees.
