Easy to find once on base. Good sized sites with full hookup. WIFI was supposed to be available around the baths and office but I could never get on line no matter where I was. We were in a truck camper and had a short site very near the bathroom, it had plenty of room. Enjoyed our visit here and will stop again if in the area, overall a very good campground.

Drove through CG today since I was in general area for the week. Winding busy road to get here and dangerous entering and exiting the area. The CG is on base property but not secured other than signage stating military property. The road to and around the CG are hard surface, sites are decent size not huge, concrete pads that would look a lot better if the pine needles were blown off. Kind of a dreary look to the CG...

I did a drive through this campground today. This is not a place that I would stay unless I had no other options. Fairly easy getting in main gate if you come in with camper stay to the right. There are a lot of stops and turns getting back to the CG, which is in the back corner of base close to the water. Sites are plenty large enough for anything you are driving or pulling but they are dirt...

Reservations were simple and easy over the phone, I made ours about two weeks in advance. Main gate has some obstacles/barriers but not real difficult to get around, military ID will be required to get on base. Check-in to MWR outdoors prior to heading to campground, they are on "D" street, turn left when you see base gas station. The lot of the MWR outdoors has a drive around so no need to worry about pulling in and turning around....

Electrical hookup was 20/50 amp, no 30, if you had 30 amp you would need a pigtail adapter, which the campground office sold. Sties had picnic table, freestanding charcoal grill, fire ring, and water hookup. There was a camp store and a dump station as well as a laundrymat. Just 10 sites at this small campground, sites 1-3 no sewer. No WIFI, no cable and no bathrooms at campground. There is a nice park across the road that has bathrooms which were nice and clean, well stocked. Check-in at the Outdoor Rec Center, we never saw anyone come by to check on campers or to see if rules were being followed. Great RV Park with paved roads, level concrete pads, 20/30/50 amp, water and sewer hookup (no cable) very limited WIFI. Really nice walking/biking path which is lighted and hard surface. The walk path has exercises you can do along the way. There are a number of pieces of outdoor exercise items on the back side of housing on the path which were a lot of fun using. Made reservations far in advance and assigned spot 5. CG has total of 6 sites of which 4 appeared to be taken by long term campers appeared to be active duty or active reserve. CG is located off base on the banks of Narragansett Bay. The sites are concrete, level, and have 30/50 amp service and water. There is no other services available at this CG. Located off base across the airstrip from the entry to the base. CG has sites with just power and water $21 and P/W/S for $24. When we arrived all full hookup were taken so we were directed to the partial hookup sites. Secluded camp ground, was about 20 miles into base area before we found it. Host was friendly and informative about the area. Bathhouse was clean with plenty of hot water and the laundry facility was spacious and clean. Went through gate on Fleming Rd. was tight getting through barriers but took our time and had no problem. Gate guards were friendly, were changing over duty so the off going guards led us through the base to the CG. This is our time at this CG and again were very pleased with our stay. Stayed in main camping area this time, gravel, dry and level site. Water, sewer, power 30/50 amp, CATV and WIFI available with good signal at our site, the closer you get to community center the better the signal. Overall this is a nice famcamp. Sites have 20/30/50 amp service, water hookup, cable TV, sewer, and OK WIFI. Gravel and fairly level sites on main drag going in and sites have shelters covering picnic table, no firerings. If you have base sticker it's easy to get to the CG from highway 172 from the north or south. Check in and check out times are a little earlier than most, check out is 11 AM and check in is noon....

Campground just opened on 17 May 2013. When we drove by last summer the campground was just piles of dirt. It looks great now. Easy to find with current directions on this site at the end of Monroe.
