Dog poop everywhere. Human waste behind our site. Couldn’t see it but i smelled it. Dirty. Cigarette butts. Shower facilities below average. Needed mowing. The permanent residents were permanent. We were scheduled for two nights; left early the morning after the first night. What a shame.

Lovely park. Spotless, wide spaces, beautiful grounds. Facilities (laundry, shower, toilets) spotless. Camp host - awesome. Reservations - awesome. About 5 easy miles off 95. This is the nicest FamCamp we have stayed at so far. We’re only here one night but will be back when we are in the area. Perhaps, the rest of the FamCamp family should take lessons from this place.

First, the mwr employees were wonderful and I highly recommend renting a boat while you are there. Now to the FamCamp - always start with a positive - the views of the lake are gorgeous and the spots are set up so you aren’t nuts to butts or side by side which is really nice. Stayed two nights en route to CO. Pulling a 27’ Airstream. 50 amps and pull thrus available. We stayed on the old side of the FamCamp with a lot of shade and adequate space between sites.Very quiet and pretty with minimal bugs amazingly enough. A lot of full timers in this section. The restroom and showers were dirty so BYOB - bring your own bleach. All dogs were leashed! They did not ask us for shot records for our dog....
