The connections were conveniently located enabling easy hook-up. We were able to use our DISH Tailgater and also received numerous TV channels via antenna. Driving south to the installation was relatively easy along SR 23 but know the height of your rig because the 13’7” Belle Chasse Tunnel is on this route. Once on base, access to the RV Park was convenient. The campground road is dirt/gravel and littered with potholes making it a very bumpy ride. We spent 11 nights (4 nights on site 2 then several weeks later 7 nights on site 4) with W/S/E-50 Amp in a 38 Ft. Class A Motorhome. This secured installation is just off of U.S. 1, but the short distance between gate and roadway left our tow vehicle hanging out in traffic while waiting for the gate to be opened. We spent 21 nights with W/S/E-50 Amp in a 38 Ft. Class A Motorhome. Due to a tight right turn off of U.S. Route 1 onto Sigsbee Rd, we recommend following the alternate route directions described on the US Military Campgrounds and RV Parks website. We spent 9 nights here. Had full-hook-up and level concrete site. Was able to get both antenna and satellite TV. Facilities were clean and laundry was free and easy to use. Close to downtown Jacksonville for touring. A very nice park, would definitely stay again.
