Follow the directions above! Don't trust your GPS! Arrived Sunday, July 3rd. GPS took us to the Commerical Gate via 225th St. GATE CLOSED! Fortunately, we could see the gate was closed and turned left on E Ellsworth that took us back to Liberty Blvd where we turned right, went past the museum, through the main gate. We are 34 feet, towing a 15 ft SUV, and had no problem navigating the barriers. The barriers at the main gate...
RV sites are huge! When it rains, some sites under water. $35 is the highest I've ever paid for a Famcamp site! Cabins look nice. Staff was very helpful, Thanks Troy and Eric!
Nice campground with new sites, full hookups and beautiful mountain views. When you come in on Williams St, note that the road has turns, but it still is Williams St! The sites have the power boxes between each site pairs. So the even site numbers have to bring their power cord to the passenger side to plug-in.
Rates were $110 - $150. Still much better than the civilian rate for beach front accommodations! "Shenanigans", the all ranks club, was excellent, with outside, beach front dining. NEX, gas station, and MWR facilities close by. Biggest negative is the distance to other activities on the fabulous island of Kauai. So much to see and do. If possible, plan for at least a two week stay.
Stayed in the new RV park addition. Fresh landscaping, resort hookups. Local TV was from across the boarder. Satellite was great. Wash rack, free, open 24/7 across from recreation office. Dinning facility available on Sat and Sun. Added extra was the Blue Angeles practicing for the up coming air shows. Nothing like sitting outside your rig with a beer in hand watching them flying over head.
Just stayed one night. Got in after dark. Check-in was nice, found full hookups and had a quite night sleep. Would stay there again, in the winter!
