Just an overnight stay on the way south. This is a small famcamp with level sites and good utilities. The famcamp is located close to the Gott gate, follow the direction provided on the website. Will stay here again if in the area.
This famcamp is always full when we come to Florida. This time we were able to secure 6 nights on Battleship row. A very nice campground by the waterfront with good utilities and facilities. The NEX and Commissary are a drive as the base is spread out over a large area. Reservations are a must for an extended stay in any famcamps in Florida in the wintertime. We will stay here again.
This Army base is just off I-30 (Exit 207) with the famcamp on the back side of the base. The civilian guards did ask to search the motorhome and about any weapons (none) but just took a quick look inside. The famcamp staff was very helpful, told me to pick a site, setup and then come and register our site. There are no registrations with a first come first serve for the camping but reservations are...
This is a great location close to I-25 and I-40 in New Mexico. The directions for entering thru the Truman gate are correct coming from either interstate. The famcamp is dated but offers the necessities for a famcamp. The wifi is very poor/unusable and is noted for the need to be upgraded All hookups are good and located for all RV's and the restrooms and laundry are clean. The famcamp staff request leaving...
On May 2021, the Outdoor Recreation took over the reservation system and operation of the Famcamp. The staff are very nice but a slow learning curve running a revolving customers coming in and out. We arrived with a 3 night reservation and found someone in the site. We went back to the office and they didn't know someone was in the site without knowledge of the office. We were directed to another site, the next...
Great stopping over location from East/West Interstate 8. All sites are gravel with FHU's, the exception is the water has a low arsenic content and non potable. There is a RO cabinet on each site for filling containers with drinking/cooking water. The sunrise/setting view of the surrounding mountains and desert are beautiful. We will stay here again if in the area.
This should be the new standard for all Famcamps. The sites are evenly spaced with concrete parking and asphalt roads. All are FHU's with grills and concrete patios. The laundry has 3 washers and dryers (free) and the restrooms were very nice. The Commissary and BX are next to the Famcamp with the gas station one block away with Diesel. Reservations are required as they were very full when we were there. I...
This famcamp is first come, first serve but they have plenty of sites, both FHU and overflow. All sites are clean and good size, some are 30 amp and some are 30/50 amp electric. The attractions of AMARC (aircraft boneyard) and Old Tucson Movie Studio are closed for Covid until further notice. A very nice location for winter weather avoidance with a nice office staff. We will stay here again if in the area.
This RV park is not on base but requires a military id. The famcamp office staff are very organized and friendly. The sites are FHU's with good water and electric, but restrooms are closed. The laundry was open and very clean with reminders of social distance and masks usage. There is some highway noise but at acceptable levels. Easy on and off the highway to the park. We will stay here again.
The park is well laid out with level concrete pads and good FHU's. The $35.00 a day is high for the facilities but the weekly rate is inline with other famcamps. The office does lean more to catering the fulltimers as there is pet/kid gates on most of the Rv's, extra stuff under and around outside of the site. There doesn't seem to be any oversite on the rules including the speed limit in the famcamp. ...
Location is excellent for a base camp in Oklahoma City. Camp host Linda is very helpful and organized keeping the famcamp going during the Covid 19 situation. The Gott gate is closest to the famcamp and the recommended RV / truck gate. All hookups utilities were good but the restrooms are closed for now. Must see attraction is the Cowboy and Western Museum not far away from base. The site was just long enough for...
It is winter at MacDill AFB with all the snowbirds in full bloom. The nice thing is they will turn no one away but it is at full capacity in dry camp. There is about 7 days in dry camp before eligible for 2 weeks of partial hookups followed by 2 weeks of full hookups. Then it is back to dry camping and the bottom of the rotation list. In April, they have proposed a restrooms/laundry...

The famcamp is recovering from the hurricane over a year ago. We came thru here last Mar 2019 and the campground had recently opened to campers again. This year the famcamp was full with parking in overflow only. There are still non military contractors filling camping sites full time. Good news is the overflow now has FHU's. There is no WIFI since the Hurricane but the grounds have been cleaned up and new sprouts are...
Eglin AFB Famcamp (Camp Robbins) is laid out with wide gravel sites. All FHU utilities are solid with the exception of WIFI as there is none. OTA tv service was very disappointing for the area. They did take reservations for our 3 day stay but were mostly full while we were here. Talk is they are going to close Postal Point (other famcamp on base) as it keeps flooding during weather events and maybe extend Camp...
Just an overnight stay as we work our way to south Florida. We arrived on New Years day with a reservation. Our site was posted on the door but no other paperwork available. The site are nice size with good utilities and level. The area has several things to do (read tourist) but it was raining the day we were here. Local OTA channels were none but you get a cable box for a $100...
