We were scheduled to spend two nights at Wright-Patterson AFB FamCamp in April. We had to cancel due to a previous breakdown. The camp staff, Harriet and Terry especially, were on the phone to confirm arrival and took great care upon hearing of our breakdown. They stayed in touch and were gracious enough to refund our payment when they heard we would not be stopping there. Thank you ladies. Hope to see you next trip! We visited Wright-Patterson AFB Bass...
We spent 2 nights at Keesler AFB FamCamp, Biloxi, MS, in October 2024. Staff was friendly and welcoming, Dave, the camp host, showed us to our site. Area was clean and well maintained. 50A power, water and sewer were handy and functional. Laundry was open and cost $1.50 to wash and $1.00 to dry. Easy to get to. Nice size sites and access roads. Only detractor was the light pole at the head off our site. It wouldn't allow a...
We spent two nights at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base FamCamp, in Dayton, OH. This is a Military Family Camp. You must have access to DOD facilities to use this campground. We followed the recommendations and set the Hope Hotel as our GPS destination. It brought us to a 24 hour gate and from there the signage was good all the way to the campground. A nice mix of pull-thru and back-in sites. Clean restrooms and showers. Laundry area was clean...
We stayed two nights at Jacksonville RV Park, Jacksonville, Florida, in our 43' fifth wheel. Sign in at the Auto Hobby shop went easily. We were met by Rachel (one of the camp hosts) at the entrance to the camping loops. She directed us and escorted us to our site and helped get us lined up and parked. The site was gravel and fairly level with a nice patio and picnic table. Utilities were located midway...
We spent five nights at JB Charleston RV Park, North Charleston, SC in our 43' fifth wheel. Our site was a pull thru, asphalt approaches and a concrete pad with patio. Utilities were nicely located and worked properly. The camp is located near the runways for the base and International Airport, so there is some air traffic noise, but it settles down in the evening and quiet overnight. Access to local attractions was easy and lots...
We spent 6 nights at Ellsworth AFB FamCamp, Rapid City, SD. This was a great FamCamp. We came in through the main gate after going through the Visitor's Center. Coming in it was fine for our 43' fifth wheel and tow rig. We did exit through the commercial gate and recommend that. The staff was great, Greta was cheerful and helpful, correcting the computer information and providing us the "residency invoices" we needed to renew...
We spent 2 weeks at Hill AFB Fam Camp at the end of July, beginning of August 2023. We were in one of the pull thru sites, Nice sites, Concrete pads, Utilities handy and all functioned. Could not connect or find the park wifi. Pull thru sites are all set up as Buddy sites, facing your neighbor. Narrow gravel patch between with two picnic tables, and a fire extinguisher. Some shade, but not a...
We stayed 11 nights at JBLM Holiday Park, McChord Field, WA, in July 2023. The trees were tight backing in our site, but we were able to do it. Once in the site it was plenty big enough and fairly clean. Nice picnic table, charcoal grill, and fire ring. Two sets of bathrooms and shower rooms were spacious and well maintained. Didn't use the laundry room. Small playground for the kids, Cell service was a bit spotty with AT&T. Roads...
One of the nicest FamCamps and RV Parks we've ever stayed at. Clean, well laid out, great sites, and very nice Laundry and Shower rooms. Sites were spacious and groomed. All utilities were nicely located for connection and worked properly. Quiet area. Camp hosts were great and available, Easy access to the highways and throughout the LA Metro area. Laundry room had 8 washers and dryers, and they were free to use, limited to 2 at a time. We camped...
Nice sites with concrete pads and patios. Big, clean laundry room. Machines work off an app. Nice picnic area in the RV park for guests only. Bathrooms, Laundry room, and Dog park have coded entry's. Very handy to much of San Diego's attractions, most within 30 minutes. Roadways are a bit narrow and it took some maneuvering to get into our site. Helpful neighbors assisted. Good utilities were located right along the...
We stayed at Oasis RV Park for two nights. Backing into the site uphill was challenging, but the site was nicely paved with concrete. Laundry room next door at the lodging facility. Site was sloped back towards front quite a bit, but our jack system was able to level. No other amenities, Exchange was closed when we were there. No shade. Good power and water.
We stayed 5 nights at Desert Eagle RV Park in a 42' Fifth Wheel. The park roads were a little narrow, but manageable. The site was awesome. Concrete pad with a large concrete patio plus designated parking. Plenty of room between sites. We stayed in the older section that had some shade. Only change we'd want would be to get a site either north or west facing, to put the sun behind the camper in...
We stayed at the Laughlin AFB Famcamp for a couple nights, sites were well marked and appeared well maintained. There was a cable hookup, but said "dead" so did not try it. No Bathhouse on site. We arrived on Monday and left on Wednesday. The office is closed Monday's and Tuesday's. Never saw the Camp Host. The do have a GREAT Laundry trailer with 6 large high efficiency washers and dryers that are FREE!...
Great Park, We are in the A loop near the old Marina. Two big items of note. First, the MWR office for the RV park is now in Bldg 4008, the Auto Hobby Shop. Turn in at the Exchange, it's toward the back of the lot, red metal roof. Sign in is inside the shop work bays. Second, and VERY IMPORTANT, there are a LOT of low TREES on some of the side streets around the...
