This was a great campground to spend the week. The directions provided to the campground were spot on and navigation in the campground was easy. Excellent commissary, exchange, class six and gas station. This campground had the best Wi-Fi of any military FamCamp I've stayed in. We made Ellsworth AFB our base camp while exploring the Black Hills. The directions to the FamCamp the office sends you are spot on. You would expect the famCamp to be at the end of one of the runways or the other side of the base, but it's smack-dab in the center of base. Perfect for stop over while passing through the area. My particular site (20) was level on a concrete pad, grass had just been cut. The camp was clean, with shady trees. Nice walking trails for long walks. The bathhouse was modern and was in clean condition. Coin operated washing machines and dryers, ($1.00 wash). No sewer at sites but a good dump station behind the bathhouse. Good exchange on base for shopping and gas is cheaper on base. Very quiet...
This is a good campground if you're looking to visit Savannah, GA on the cheap. The other campers were spaced apart, not on top of one another. The camp host was very friendly and helpful. The campground is very shaded which prevents the sun from drying the muddy areas. This campground is prone to being swampy with lots of standing water. The space we had was level thanks to gravel on the site. As for amenities, this campground has none....
Spent the weekend at the Patrick SFB FamCamp during the off season in July. Plenty of spaces available. Easy access onto base via the commercial entrance off Rt A1A. Greeted by the camp host named Tom who was extremely helpful in showing me where my spot was and offered this newbie great advice on setting up camp. Cash is not accepted, so I used a credit card. The full hookup campsite was spacious, clean and leveled with a gravel surface....
